Measuring a mobile home door properly is crucial to getting the right door. Measurements are based on the size of the opening where the door will be installed. If there is no door currently, measure from one side of the wood frame of the door jamb to the other, i.e. the opening. If an old door is still there, measure from the edge of the door’s metal frame to the opposite side of the frame.
Mobile home windows are measured from ‘rough opening,’ or the inside of the window. To get an accurate measurement, start by opening the window from the inside. Measure along the bottom of the opening from side to side. Take another measurement at the top of the window to make sure it matches. This is the standard window size for your mobile home. The window size you purchase will be slightly smaller than the actual measurement.
